Its time to extend our family- hopefully!! We have made the league public with the hope of enticing a few more people over to the darkside with us. It would be nice to have a few fresh faces with us each weekend. Some new competition that we can beat and subdue ? Im sure everyone will enjoy having some fresh blood! We are trying to get a Cheaters Doubles tourney up and running each Saturday night. The Doubles will have a Bux Donation. The type of game to be played will be decided on the night. So Grab a partner, kick some butt and win some bux!! .

When we have tried all of the new games we will vote on the best. I will not be letting anyone know who wrote what rules, so if we play a game you created.. shhhhhhh don’t say a word. You will be voting on your favourite rules. Each new game will come with a bux prize for first and second place. So... get out your thinking caps and get creative. If you can create everyones favourite new game you will receive some BIG BUX!!! Good Luck!! .

We don’t have many hard and fast rules at Weekend Warriors, we are a small friendly league and we haven’t had much need to enforce any of the rules we do have. Slow play and lagging are facts of playing Canasta. We all have interruptions, occasional Yahoo lag or just misbehaving computers. When things do start to lag we get bored and stop paying as much attention as we would in a fast paced game, which can cause tempers to fray. To this end the Admin staff would like to remind everyone of some of the rules that we will be putting into practice from now on just to keep some of the games from lagging way past time when everyone else has finished. .

You are allowed 1 free 3 minute BRB or lag. On the next BRB or lag your op will ask TD to come to table, when the TD establishes there is a problem he/she will begin a 3 minute timer. .

You Do Not have to invite TD’s to table unless rules specify the TD needs to be there. You can invite your TD to the room if you need the rules to be posted there. .

Please invite your TD to the table if there is any disagreement or misunderstanding or rules. STOP play immediately until an agreement has been reached. .

All TDs should post rules in the lobby, especially if it’s a more difficult or new game. Please ask all the players if they understand the rules in these games. .

Some game rules have been updated and ALL our rules are available on our league page. (All Tds should ensure they have current rules updated in their shortkeys.) Everyone playing in a tournament should make sure they understand the rules before beginning. If there is something you are unsure of Please invite your TD to the table and ask. We are here to help and to make sure everyone enjoys their games. .

On a lighter note.... Im not ashamed to bribe people!! Anyone who brings a friend to play with us will receive (if that person stays longer than 1 month.)1000 bux. Your “friend” will receive a 500 bux donation to whet their appetite for more tourneys with us. .

Dona (olewarrior) wants to run a Trivia contest with prizes to the winners. If this appeals to you let Dona know and we will get the ball rolling for next months special events.
